Mr Alexandre Gangue-Ruzic, thank you for touching on the concerns we are all thinking about.

Again, great job as always on the Podcast and lets keep keeping people honest and well informed.

1) Priority access to tix (including seasons tix).
2) Includes all competitions (National & UEFA)
3) Discounts at Benfica Store (I always get enough discounts every year to almost pay for membership)
4) Voting rights (to decide who runs the Club)

This what you referring to?

Mr Ben Steiner, in the same part of this great podcast you state “clubs have membership fees. In Europe you cant go to a match unless you are buying a membership to a club”.

Do you mean "Sócio memberships"? I am a Sócio of Benfica. My "membership" does the following

which includes tickets to all UEFA/FIFA events.

Free. Membership is free.

Maybe I'm just not aware of other, multi thousand dollar access programs where tiered pricing increases ticket access probability, from Federations. I'm always looking to learn something new though.

In Portugal's case the membership is free, and provides, among many things, access to visit the Federations training center, including watching training sessions, discounts on all gear in the "Portugal Store", a newsletter AND priority access to NT tickets at home/abroad...

Mr Brendan Dunlop, in this episode you state that “This is not new, other countries do this”. Can you indulge me and provide some examples?

I'm a member of the Portuguese Federations "member" program, called "Portugal+", so I am familiar w/ what "other countries are doing"

Yep.
The predetermined manner in which several players ended up where they did is an insult to North American drafts.

What is the actual importance of keeping up this theater. Are they working a tax break or something?

This isn't about player rights. It's deliberate theater. Several other picks were similar. Bordering on insulting peoples intelligence.

Because this is all theater.

Canada: the only place in the world a "club" would sign one of their "academy" players via a draft... 😅

It was, in part.
380M isn't chump change and 15K temporary seats don't cost that.

Not to mention the training centers that were to be built (that were critical for post tournament legacy) are getting scaled back or canceled.

If going big isn't worth it, this is even less worth it. A waste, no?

I think you've missed the point. These events can spring other opportunities. There will be no tangible outcome left behind.

The WC in Toronto will be nothing more than a Taylor Swift concert. A commercial event. With the same groups cashing in on the Toronto sports market.

PDS will be back next season.
