Until recent years, Kentucky voters registered Democrat. (Top image, 2016) But most of them (outside major cities) vote Republican (bottom image, 2024). Given this long heritage, is there any way for Democrats to get them back? Is there any way that does not involve selling our souls?

The First Amendment protects our free speech from government action, not from action by businesses, neighbors, or friends. But what happens if government uses its power to press businesses and institutions to cancel employees for their speech? Is that more like "an offer you can't refuse"?
