“The Grey Seas Under” is one of the most well-written stories I’ve ever read. Full stop

I hadn’t but I just ordered it. Love a good book. If you haven’t read them, check out “The Boat that Wouldn’t Float” by Farley Mowat or “The Grey Seas Under” by the same author. They aren’t Bay related but great reads.

It’s a neat little area. The Yard has been there since around the civil war. My grandfather was offered the run of it but declined so he could design and build boats. He handed the ownership over to my uncle for a handshake.

You can’t turn a corner in Galesville without running in to at least one of my cousins. There’s a museum at Hartge Yacht Yard that has a lot of cool history in it.

Check out my grandfather’s “Riptide” next time you’re there. She’s a beauty

Dinghy sailing is the best. It’s only mildly dangerous compared to larger sailboats with higher loads. Finding out its limits doesn’t cost nearly as much as it does on bigger boats. I want to get my daughters in to Optimists this summer. I imagine they’re similar.

It was. Clean lakes and small town orange grove keggers. It’s all houses now. Hard to believe and more a little sad. Aaron was at mgm studios when he was in town. I’m not sure where he was when he did Brother Bear, but I believe he got an Oscar for directing it.

Thank you! My grandfather designed and built the class in this piece. They’re called Chesapeake 20’s and they are lovely. Several are in museums.

My college career was a semester at Valencia and only took one art class. Got an A but only requirements were a ride there and a pulse.

That’s so cool. The reason I asked was that I grew up in Clermont and in the 90’s some of the animators moved in to town. Cool folks. Do you know Of Aaron Blaise? He drew the young Simba and went on to Brother Bear. Super talented and threw fun lake parties with his late wife.

I’ll be sure to post more. I’m getting ready for a show now but will be better about it after. Thanks so much for your amazing compliments. Were you around Orlando when you were at Disney?

I might be totally off on this but the horse/s would need the traction more than the wheels on the cart so I’m going with some toothy horse shoes. Apologies to the wheelwright
