@zackpolanski.bsky.social I've had my email reminder to vote for London GPEW officers; in admittedly less busy times you have been very helpful advising me on candidate choices that are not transphobic. Does such a list exist for these elections, and where can I find it if so? Ta, R.

Makes you remember what a good leader was like, because it's a few years since either the UK or USA had one.
I heard some old friends at Pod Save America were in town, so I decided to stop by. As we saw this week, we can change this country for the better. But it’s going to take all of us getting organized and having honest conversations about the best way forward.

Sending love to the family of the late Brianna Ghey for tomorrow, which would have been her 19th birthday. Still such a tragic loss of young life - even now, she'd still have been a teenager. Wear something pink tomorrow if you want to mark the day with a gesture. www.facebook.com/briannagheyl...

twickenham.nub.news/news/local-n... good riddance! I love a good train; these were boring. Old slam door stuff was fun, with those side compartments (where fitted) and upholstery that was actually comfortable. These were no replacement. What do you say @jagohazzard.bsky.social ? Will you miss them?

Jesus, why are they letting Branson anywhere near the channel tunnel? He got bored of his last rail franchise and just walked away leaving a nationalised company to mop up after him.

HUGE 👏 to @zackpolanski.bsky.social for his recent tireless 'wake up and smell the coffee' drives. Zack won't remember me (a GPEW member some while) but his timely, personal replies of help/info on which officer nominees weren't anti-LGBTQ+ went a long way. Zack - it's working, mate. Savour it.

Honestly, the mainstream media reaction to Zack Polanski entering the elites’ own conversation space…

…with widely-held public opinions…

…tells you everything you need to know about why our mainstream media is a closed shop, broken, and no longer fit for purpose.

This. Transphobia is a moral panic that has been heavily funded and weaponized by a lot of powerful & wealthy people over the last decade, and it's scary but NOT inevitable - and *certainly* not the fault of their victims.
I'm so sick of discourse from supposed allies about where trans people went wrong.

Where we "went wrong" is that billionaires spent unimaginably large sums to attack us repeatedly and major media outlets have spent a decade piling on.

I wonder if @jagohazzard.bsky.social might help: I'm 51; c45 years ago I recall a crisp packet campaign (either you cut tokens out, or it was a competition, or ...?). It involved a streamlined train (not the APT). The interesting bit - I actually saw a mock up driving car at Wimbledon. What was it?

Great Yarmouth is set to host the biggest neo-nazi music festival in over a decade. The Home Office has the power to block entry of overseas bands, which will scupper the promoters plans. But they won’t act unless we demand it. Email the Home Office now: hopenothate.org.uk/2025/08/28/g...

Memories. With the heartbreakingly now late Bob Andrews and the most tasteful guitarist on the planet, Mr Brinsley Schwarz at the Half Moon about 12 years ago. @thegrahamparker.bsky.social out of shot, dutifully nursing a glass of Chablis, and why not! RIP Bob 🕊️

My dear friend, mentor, hero Bob Andrews has passed away over in the USA where he has resided for a few decades. I don’t know what to say to this, I really don’t. Thoughts to 'GP' @thegrahamparker.bsky.social

There. So Labour are doing something right. If the entitled f**kers in the article are boo-hooing into their pumpkin lattes, that’s a start.
‘We earn £345k, but soaring private school fees mean we can’t afford to go on five holidays’

This is a GENUINE article published just now in The Telegraph.

All these unfortunate pockets of the country who were ‘denied a voice too long’. With such cognitive dissonance on offer in abundance, can you wonder at it…
One of the most bizarre responses to leaving the EU going badly… is to deny that it’s actually happened.

If you open a door, expecting a unicorn to be behind it… and there’s no unicorn… then the oddest response is to state that you’ve not yet opened the door.

Don't underestimate the trans community's fear in this country Mike. Those who can afford it are looking for escape routes from the UK, in anticipation of the incoming persecution.

Ok…so if the good souls @lookingforthemagic.bsky.social are going to plunge us into the halcyon alt-country days of our youth, and bring up those seemingly endless magical LPs made with almost all of the scene pitching in, it must be time:
