Goro the Slacker is the worst stand-in for a Katamari fan, considering how toxic otaku culture is in Japan. I think he’s a disgusting character overall, as he wins the “Babe” as a reward for doing the bare minimum… I get that Katamari’s fanbase has a lot of gamers, but I don’t want to be an otaku

Makoto Ando was apparently the art director for Noby Noby BOY, yet he didn’t push the AC-Bu art style onto the game. I think if Takashi Kurihara took the wheel while Makoto Ando kept the NNB-esque art style, TMK would look far less nightmarish.

Straight facts. I have such a grudge towards Touch My Katamari for so many reasons and you really captured many of my thoughts. I also have a huge issue with the King’s characterization, disturbing dialogue and a lot of disturbing subcultural influences within the game. There are so many problems.

Im harsh because this game could have been good, I love Me and My Katamari and its on the PSP which is much worse hardware. They could do better, no wonder they didn’t make a new game for over a decade

The touchscreen gimmick feels pointless as hell, and the levels have that dang point system I fucking hate too. AC Clubs art direction is also just NOT IT for this game and my god the king looks so bad. This game self parodies itself into fucking oblivion in this release it’s crazy.

Great Danes really don’t know how big they are 😂 I’ve seen some in Chicago, and they are giant! They still act like puppies. I considered the Brittany dog for the Queen, which looks similar to the Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever. They’re from France, which I believe the Queen is influenced by.

I wonder what dog breeds would represent them best…
The King could be something fierce, like a chow chow? They are commonly compared to lions, and the King likes lionesses. The Queen might be a hard working and cute breed, like a Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever. They have pink noses 🐽

A lot of people enjoy this dynamic, so I could see this with the King and Queen. I’ve seen some very comedic drawings playing around his compliance for the Queen, and it makes for some great scenes www
