An early retiree. I enjoy walking most days, eating out at least once a week, cooking, playing video games, watching films and trying new experiences when the opportunity arises.
A brilliant summary of where our civilization is and where it's heading. youtube.com/watch?v=fUJ-...

The local drug dealers & gang members on my estate put on a great firework display at midnight last night. I say this because on my deprived council estate they are the only ones who can afford to spend hundreds of pounds on fireworks. 🎉HaPpY 2026 🎊

Just thinking of how many countries consider themselves as good friends with the USA after 12 months of President Trump and his disciples taking power. Well there's Russia and er er, oh, that's it! 😁

On this day when I was around 5 years old, my Grandpa used to say that there was a man walking around with as many noses as there were days left in the year. He also used to claim that if you held a guinea pig up by its tail its eyes would fall out. That's all I remember about him.

I'm blocking anyone who's post consists of 100% capital letters. You're welcome.

Goodness, there's so much believable AI generated fake content on any subject on YouTube now. It's becoming virtually impossible to tell real from fake anymore!

It's incredibly bad for our societies & ultimately our civilisation.

I'm seriously thinking of unplugging myself from it.

My Whamageddon challenge was successful.🤩

One of the best things about Christmas Day yesterday was that I didn't hear that orange buffoon's name once. You know who I mean!

There is too much capital letter use on Bluesky. It's hurting my eyes!

I got talking to a mate about fishing whilst enjoying a Christmas Eve meal. When I returned home and opened my TVs YouTube app I had fishing related recommendations. Google's Android spyware has become extremely efficient! The problem is my phone won't work unless I agree to its use.

Visited Sutton-in-Ashfield town centre today. Like many town centres nowadays it had quite a few empty shops, but like Mansfield, had lots of Cafeterias serving all day breakfast and classic lunches. Just good simple grub without the pretentious bollocks & prices that you get in gastro-pubs.

I bought a box of nine mini mince pies for Christmas Day but I've already eaten 2. There's no chance of any of them lasting til Christmas Day.

This proves that even deprived council estates have their moments.

Well my 2012 Honda Insight passed its MOT for the 10th time in a row. 🤩

I'm now waiting for a package that will arrive in the next 3 hours (probably), the modern (not so convenient) way of shopping. I still prefer the old shopping method TBO.

Lovely sunny day and warm wind give me rare opportunity to mow my lawn. I must remember to don my anti-cat shit protection before commencing.

The more I look into our future with AI, the more alarmed I'm becoming. Allowing such a powerful technology to be controlled by enormous Corporations is morally irresponsible. They will hold more power than any country on earth.

Nothing gets me off the sofa quicker than foot cramp.

Why do some YouTube videos have CC where every word spoken is highlighted? who is this for? I find it very annoying to the point that I can't continue watching.

Well it's Whamageddon time once again. Good luck everyone. 😊

The news that Voyager 1 has just reached the 1 light day milestone after 48 years travelling at 38,000 MPH or 61,000 KPH. Our nearest star is 4 light-years away. So at its present speed it would take approximately 70,000 years to reach our nearest star. Man, space is big!😮

BBC Football Focus is rubbish.

It's only taken me 60 years to realise that it's easier to eat a burger holding it upside down.

Yesterday I got the first opportunity to really crank up my new stereo and it sounded awesome.
I'll only crank up my stereo when my neighbour cranks her stereo up as she works 12 hour night shifts and so I don't want to disturb her sleep.

Just listening to an acoustic version of the Cranberries song Linger thinking that it wouldn't be as good as the recording because of the absence of harmonies, but it's actually better. 🤩
