Is Zellensky smart to give ownership to Trump? Can we be sure of which transactional owner serves the best long term interests of Ukraine? Looking at the current trends, China might provide better defense and more equitable treatment than the US or Russia.

That’s the severity of the issue.

and I believe farther that this is likely to be well administered for a Course of Years , and can only end in Despotism as other Forms have done before it, when the People shall become so corrupted as to need Despotic Government, being incapable of any other."

This can be summed up in the famous axiom from G.K. Chesterton: “Do not remove a fence until you know why it was put up in the first place.”

There was a huge thing recently about GAO saying over 200 billion in improper payments were made last year. Does this mean if Medicare reimbursed 187k but should’ve reimbursed 178k, all 187k is added to the improper column? My conservative friends believe the entire amount listed was lost.

There’s a consistent theme that hitting people gives better results in child-rearing, when the evidence shows it leads to low emotional regulation and low employability. Punching in the workplace is frowned upon for instance. Also see: Mel
Gibson’s arrest.

In these waning lame duck moments, I’d really like to see a serious attempt made to codify normal behavior.

Those who love Trump keep telling me the presidency is harmful to his bottom line, and point to the fact that he refuses to even take a salary as proof he’s not in it for the money.
