Swery absolutely loves AI and is no doubt a significant reason. I have no idea how Suda feels about it , but I remember Swery generating AI slop daily on his twitter despite everyone hating it.
So disappointing still. Turns out all the heart Deadly Premonition had was actually just an accident.

Nevermind I did some more testing and looks like super grabs work differently than regular grabs. I guess if you manually time your SA3 to have invulnerability during the active frames of Ed's super, then for some reason you can grab him during active frames.

I do believe strikes have priority over throws if they hit on the same frame in Street Fighter 6 as well, so the only way she would have grabbed is if she grabbed you before your strike hit, but that cannot happen here because of invulnerability.

Checked in training mode and figured it out. Manon only has 6 invulnerability frames, while Ed has 9. So by the time Manon is grabbing, Ed is still invulnerable. Her grab only has two active frames as well, so she couldn't possibly have grabbed him no matter what here.

I am already today practically done buying games. I have more games than I could play, or for as long as Steam is going to stay around. It already had to be exceptional by current pricing. I'm not only going to be priced out of $100 games, I'm going to have a good time despite it.

That sucks man. I had a similar issue with a fucked up boiler. Previous owners had installed it backwards so electrician couldn't inspect it and the plumber noticed it was missing some doohickey which could make it explode or something lmao.

I've not played Silksong yet, but one of the things that helped me a lot was focusing on punishing attacks that have bad recovery. I thought I had to chase down every attack to get damage all the time, and I'd get surprised when they punched me back after doing a safe attack.

I've been playing Deadlock recently, which doesn't allow you to concede, and that does feel a bit like they don't respect your time when you have to wait around like 20-30 minutes for the winning team to decide to end the game lol

I enjoy the friction you can get from a bad game so there were things about it that appealed to me. Some of the future releases like Elden Ring had much less friction than what I would prefer so while they are totally cromulent games they're a bit less memorable. Less floaty controls would be nice

I was excited to have an EVO in Europe that I could visit a bit easier, but this has entirely taken the wind out of my sails. It was already infuriating how many were tacitly endorsing EWC, and it's going to be god awful to be inundated with EVO coverage by people too spineless to take a stance.

After being so disappointed so many were too cowardly and indifferent to denounce EWC and SNK, I'm not looking forward to dealing with this again for EVO. I am just heartbroken
