When in doubt, it's Marit Lage. He/Him.
At least it wasn’t raining.
For real this time.

A couple of days ago I stumbled across what might be the most comprehensive #Pokémon ranker ever: cajunavenger.github.io.

It took me half an hour to go though all cells and I’m sure many personal favorites would change in the future, but it’s so nice to relax and enjoy this whole experience.

Easy 10k to recover after yesterday’s race.
At least it wasn’t raining this evening.
Oh, wait.
November 24, 2025 at 9:18 PM
10k in my hometown.
0:36:52.
One minute and two seconds under my previous personal record.
I feel amazing.

Easy Saturday morning run.
Just a little under an hour, chatting and enjoying the sun.
It was freezing.

Also, I finished this guy.
#Gunpla.

Took the day off to deal with some bureaucratic sh*t.
Then went out for a 12k in the rain.
I hate running in the rain, but it was way better than wasting the whole morning at the municipal office.

Another easy 12k after work.
Legs felt oddly off, but I had no real pace to aim for, so I just strolled through my hour.

Very important update!
A friend of mine opened this.
It’s the exact version I wanted.
In foil.
The art is absolutely gorgeous.
He gave it to me for very, very cheap.
I’m going to test it in Grimgrin.
It’s so beautiful, it hurts.

What perfect album came out when you were 16?

“Eclipse” by Amorphis was amazing.
“Atterro Dominatus” by Sabaton was too early Sabaton for me.
“Inhuman Rampage” by Dragonforce is where their decline started.
I wasn’t into Evergrey yet.
I didn’t like “A Matter of Life and Death” by Iron Maiden.
What perfect album came out when you were 16?

I didn’t appreciate at the time, but at this points- no skips.

A little less rain, today.
So an easy 12k was due.

In mid school, a friend suggested me I tried the game out, as I was very much into Fantasy and TTRPG. The rules were super complicated, but I go hooked. I bought some kind of 8th Edition Starter Decks and started jamming this thing on the table.

PSA: don’t trust people that tell you running in the rain is beautiful. They’re lying and they know it.

8 km with my wife @ 4:55.
10 km keeping a comfortable pace around 4:40.
12 km at a varied pace around 4:30.
6 km emptying the tank at 4:25.

Have an amazing weekend, friends!

I think I'm in the mood for a top ten cards I like from #MTGTLA. The Set is so weird, it has its gems, but I am also into a suprising amount of commons, for some reason.

10. I am a huge fan of Trumpet Blasts in #Pauper #MTGCube and this might be one of the best Trumpet Blasts in recent history.

Easy 10k.
Yesterday’s laps were brutal.
So I really needed a little bit of recovery.
November 13, 2025 at 9:28 PM
Something cool I learned today:

The word "addiction" comes from the Latin word "addictus", which describes someone who has become a slave, but was not born into slavery.

The opposite in Latin is "libertus": someone who was once a slave, but was later freed by their master or owner.

In much cooler news: my hometown of Milan will host the 2026 Winter Olympics, alongside a dozen other smaller towns in Northern Italy.
I sent my application to become one of the torchbearers and apparently I got accepted! 🎉
So, yeah, I’ll be carrying the Olympic Flame next February! 😎

3x2000 @ 3:50.
So I wanted to try something stupid and see if I could hold these laps at a faster pace. The short answer is: barely.
3:41.
3:39.
3:45.
I kind of collapsed on the last one, but I somehow still managed to stay way below my target pace.
But, boy, was it hard.

Easy recovery run after yesterday’s half marathon.
The music was very good tonight.
The solo in “Hate by Design” by Killswitch Engage is stellar.

I’ve been thinking about cuts to make to my Borborygmos #CMDR deck to add these three.
Praetor’s Counsel is probably going to go.
Abundance is amazing with Keen Sense, Snake Umbra and Sylvan Library, but meh otherwise.
Do I go down to 42 Lands?
Ideas?

Busto Arsizio Half Marathon.
The plan was to run a 1.5 hour HM, to test my target marathon pace and serve as pacer for my wife’s PB.
She started too fast. I insisted on slowing down, but she’s stubborn as a mule.
She collapsed at the 11th km mark, as expected.
I had to drag her to the finish line.

Seriously, I’ve been trying to wrap my head around this.
Obsessive Pursuit is either a gem for Grimgrin or a “win more” card.
It kind-of-draws, kind-of-gives-lifelink… Should I test it?!
This #MTGxATLA card is so weird and intriguing.
It’s a pseudo-Phyrexian Arena, coming down earlier, but requiring you to pay for the Clue to be sacrificed.
It wants you to sacrifice three permanents *before* combat, which might be surprisingly problematic in Grimgrin.
But lifelink tempts me.
