Idea for a coding interview question. Give the applicant the code generated by ChatGPT or Claude for a marginally esoteric problem, and ask them to fix or improve the code. 1/2

Ok algorithms folks. I'm interested in knowing the current state of the art in solving maximum weight bipartite b-matching problems with non-integer edge weights. Also, I'm particularly interested in existing implementations (ideally in rust, but any language) of these algorithms. Suggestions?

It absolutely warms my heart when I click on a pre-print that includes a bunch of top methods folks from industry and I see (1) open-source software (with a good license; MIT in this case) that is (2) written in Rust. Bravo @pacbio.bsky.social!

If one wants a platform with moderation (which, generally, I think most folks do), then you will inevitably see many decisions with which you disagree. Some of these will be wrong, some of them will be correct but painful, and some will just be good. This is the cost of moderation.
