Seriously, the Vicious Void stages in Astro Bot are some of the best platform levels I've ever played. Watching my daughter playing them, seeing her gaming skills sky-rocket, is something I'll never forget (here she is posing proudly with her best time in Cock-a-Doodle-Doom)

Visited Pisa recently and, all of a sudden, while inside the Battistero di San Giovanni, this woman commanded 'silenzio!' before projecting her voice around the acoustically perfect interior. A shaft of sunlight pierced through a window at that exact moment. Got my phone out like a right tourist.

Anyone else have a place they miss more than any person? Want to be on my own up a mountain in Scotland so much it aches.

And a few pics from The Ridgeway - an ancient, 5,000-year-old path that takes in neolithic long barrows and stone circles, stretching from Avebury in Wiltshire all the way to the Chiltern Hills. The section near Barbury Castle hillfort is a personal favourite of mine.
