I will admit that "Abolish ICE" seemed extreme years ago. Not anymore: This agency has made itself a disgrace and a danger to the United States. Close it, prosecute its leaders and personnel for their crimes, and hand whatever legitimate functions ICE once handled to agencies that will obey the law.

I'm always so tired after CES that I never have a problem falling asleep on the flight, and it does let me avoid paying for what's usually an expensive hotel night. And yet...

Update: A Zoox robotaxi finally did show up and then shuttled me to my hotel, at no charge as per my first use of the service. No complaints about the ride!

"Tariffs were never our favorite tool to deal with trade," said Jovita Neliupsiene, EU ambassador to the US. She allowed that EU regulations need simplification but rejects that they discriminate against US firms: "Google search has more users in Europe than you have citizens in the United States."
