You can storm a federal legislature in DC and get away with it now, too.

Incredible.

I'm old enough to remember that too... but also old enough to remember Romney being the only Republican to support both Trump impeachments. So he's not entirely new to the resistance.
I’m old enough to remember when Mitt Romney said the problem was that 47% of America didn’t pay taxes and wanted to be freeloaders. But I welcome him to the resistance.
Mitt Romney is in the New York Times saying we should tax the rich.

An ICE agent in Minneapolis pinned a pregnant woman’s face into the snow and knelt on her body.

She was also dragged across the pavement by her wrist.

The upside to what Trump said about Rob Reiner today: he officially made this okay when he finally, peacefully goes away for good... And his flying monkeys on twitter can't say a thing about it.

Conservatives spent decades opposing a hate crimes bill that the DOJ is now looking to use in Charlie Kirk's murder. It's fascinating.
DOJ weighs novel federal hate crime case against Charlie Kirk's alleged killer
The effort to bring federal charges has been met with resistance by some career prosecutors who argue the crime doesn’t appear to fall under any federal statutes.

When I see a good new phone with a headphone jack, sure I'll stop "hoarding" my 5 year old LG phone.
If a phone still works fine, it’s not “device hoarding” to keep using it. It’s common sense.

I want Trump removed for many reasons... but I can't buy this claim that he put National Guard in harm's way.

Yes, DC has a gun violence problem. But it isn't a damn war zone. If downtown in broad daylight is "harm's way" then so is every school and church and anywhere else some asshole opens fire.

The best way to vote on this (or any other nonbinding resolution that comes up in Congress) is neither "Yea" nor "Nay."

The best way to vote is "Present."

Props to @bynum.house.gov and @ross.house.gov for being the two members who didn't play along.
The House of Representatives voted 285–98 in favor of a resolution condemning socialism.

86 Dems joined Republicans in supporting the measure, incl. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

Two things can be true at once:

a) Trump has been threatening orders that would be illegal, and Kelly et al. had every right to state the law, and

b) They knew that Trump was bound to lose his shit, because he's a moron who doesn't know or care about the law... and they played him to perfection.
Mark Kelly: "He's talked about sending troops into more cities, he's talked about invoking the Insurrection Act. You don't have to go too far back to his 1st administration when he went to his Sec Def & said, 'Can't we just shoot these protesters in the legs.' That is an example of an illegal order"

Unlike most Americans, the owner of the Washington Post will actually be allowed in the ballroom. So of course he's defending it.

Well said. Poll after poll shows Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of the economy, so now is the perfect time for him to spend $350 million on a ballroom that most Americans will never be allowed to enter.
