Somewhere between a beer league Bob Costas and a JUCO Ryan Ruocco
My hope is that somehow Peter Abrahams gets tapped to finish it, writes it from a Direwolf's perspective and it blows up into a massive medieval fantasy Chet & Bernie series

If Miami offered Tucker 10yr/$300M, he takes it, he's now at $30M vs $60M AAV, the Marlins are still under $100M in payroll, and your fake high market disappears.

Tucker taking the $50M AAV from the Mets instead of LAs $60M doesn't really solve your fake high market.

Other teams need to spend.

That's the thing, if 15 more owners spent up to even $150M in payroll, LA doesn't exist as it does currently.
The LA prob is 80% a product most owners sitting out high end free agency and 20% LA's TV deal carve out. Fix the carve out without other owners spending, LA can still do what it does today.

Not a completely fair comparison due to length

Judge got $360M guaranteed, he'll get $40M when he's 40, regardless of if he can still play. The $120M he's guaranteed in his late 30s is the premium over Tucker

Shorter deals will always skew higher AAV than the franchise player long term deals

Cap it, he makes $40M, still ends up in LA because Miami and Pittsburgh still only spend $70M on their entire team. The only person who's better off is the LA ownership saving $20M
