He couldn't give a shit about Palestine. He wants to be nominated, and receive, the Nobel Peace Prize.
Meanwhile Jared's lining up sales meetings for the Gaza Strip seaside complex they want to build. Dunno who's up for the offshore oil, but it will be one of his grifting crony mates.

The only thing I want to hear from this prick is his attempt to defend what he did in overseeing this bastardry. I want him in the dock.
If that's not going to happen, then he can fuck off.

Do you think they're showing him movies?
My mother in law, before she lost the power of speech, was confused about the difference between magazines and photo albums.
Wasn't helped by my middle son having a better than passing resemblance to the Duke of Sussex when they were both 20s - early 30s.

China wants to be carbon neutral by 2060.
Australia's version of Net Zero is a joke because of the amount of fossil fuels we extract and ship off elsewhere.
Unless we've got a massive reforestation program happening that we don't know about, I reckon China will be well ahead.

I read an article shared on Xter that IDF had intel on the Hamas operation for ages.
Hamas had no idea about the Nova rave, and the usual 'security' was deployed away from the location, so that when it happened, it didn't go to plan.
And we all know Hamas incapable of the damage in the aftermath.

I wish there was an interventionist god. I really do.

An ER medic reported injuries were grouped. Kids one day being shot in the middle of the forehead. Next day it might be the crotch, next day elesewhere.

These groupings could not be coincidental. He described it as "the gamification" of killing ie the IDF snipers did this for fun.

Grow you buggers has worked wonders for me.
Also, the attitude of if it dies (this is plants in beds), then it's in the wrong place/climate and there was nothing I was going to be able to do anyway.
Somehow this attitude has increased my success rate!
Your best garden friend is Seasol or equivalent.

Easy. If we have to bail anyone out, it's not a bail out, it's the buy out. Hand over the title, it belongs to us now.

“Imagine a hungry doctor who leaves his starving children at home to come to the hospital, where he works with hungry colleagues who also left their own starving children behind to treat hungry and exhausted people.” #eiGazaDispatches
Israel’s imposed famine hits hard
Hungry and emaciated, children are the first and most severely affected.

... you forgot that he wants prizes for things he didn't earn. The shinier the prize, the happier he'll be.

We also use paper ballots with a pencil. No machines for Elon to tamper with.
Our system is a preferential voting system rather than first past the post. It's served us pretty well, but does serve the dominant parties better than others. But the tide is shifting.

Girlfriend of one of the founders?
Well, she must be at least 100 years old, eh?

Considering the mortality rates of the under 5s; the risks to mothers of even making it to the lying in period; and then how many people were at the top of the totem pole compared to the rest of the population, I think yours is a more accurate representation of medieval life.

That wasn't very clever of them, was it?

I hope that Ghislaine has a duplicate of everything stashed with someone not on the radar for just in case and it gets given to someone who can be trusted to publish.
I mean, just release the bloody files and have it done!

I have black thumbs, so we never had gardens as such.
At our last house, I decided I needed to have bedding plants in.
I had admired a garden a friend built in an environment that was hard on plants. She said the secret to success is the incantation after planting of 'grow you buggers'. It worked!

And don't forget the tithing that this 'brand' of Xianity runs on.
While its pastors live in mansions, many in their congregations are struggling to feed their kids.
And you can bet London to a brick, these guys are never present when there's a disaster, supplying care packages to all.

The neo-con LNP gutted the public service and then gave public service jobs to the for profit private sector. You can bet your sweet bippy that PwC didn't bill us at AUD1300.00 a week for clerical work.

Texas AG Ken Paxton hired a former staffer to work on a recent case. As a state employee, her labor would have cost taxpayers $641.

As a private attorney, Paxton allowed her to bill $3,780 an hour, so that day of work cost taxpayers $24,570.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton Is Outsourcing More of His Office’s Work to Costly Private Lawyers
Despite having an office of hundreds of attorneys, Ken Paxton is frequently opting for private lawyers — many to whom he has personal or political ties — to argue on behalf of Texas. One attorney cost...

Absolutely.
The way Sky 🙄 frames it, they've all turned up with AK47s to terrorise the neighbourhood with. I'm sure all they want to do is care for their kids and live a normal life.
And dead right on getting them the appropriate mental and physical health supports.

Here in Australia, our system is compulsory voting, with a turn out of around 95% with < 10% returning an informal vote (either blank, incomplete or incorrectly completed).
This US election is so important.
robyninthestix.bsky.social
I think Western Australia is included. 😉
But this was something I was unfamiliar with. I would imagine the US certainly has it and I'm surprised it's not been exercised in this instance.
I suppose they're giving grace, but with this admin, what a waste of time!

For the love of democracy, this is a non-negotiable community service that every adult of voting age should be proud to participate in.

The fact Wong thinks she can just snark her way out of this is a sign of how normalised the relationships between politicians and lobbyists have become.

Like, of course the PM shouldn't be president of a registered lobby group that sells corporate members access to politicians? No shit??

Independent Senator David Pocock and Labor's Penny Wong clashed in Senate estimates yesterday over whether the Parliamentary Sports Club could be considered a lobby group, as reported in Crikey last week. The club is registered as such, and lists Responsible Wagering Australia as one of its clients.
