Go somewhere new?

They're amazing! I used to do that too. Eventually my partner and I actually got some, and rode them 5000km around the Rocky and Coastal Mountains, and it's one of the best things I've ever done.

Found a picture of the mural your photo reminded me of:

The one in the middle here

You're a guitar tech, so you might like this -- my husband converted an old Washburn into a headless for me, which fits (with stand, fx/amp modeller, speaker, etc) in a gig bag for a 3/4 scale strat. So I can strap the whole thing down on top of my top bag and take it everywhere! :D

If I had $1 for every time my partner opened up some new prosumer network gear to find a manufacturing mistake that would've been catastrophic if we'd just plugged it in and used it first, I'd have $2. Not a lot, but..

Safe in Kaslo!  A bunch of spectacular roads to get here.  But I am pretty done; words aren't coming easily.  So I'm going to sit with a beer and look at this view.

The Sunshine Coast is looking much more aptly-named today!

We're off the ferry now, and sitting in a parking lot while we wait for all the ferry traffic to pass us so we'll hopefully get more open road ahead of us on the way to Earls Cove!

Getting set up at our campsite! First jobs are of course to attach a tail to my motorcycle pants and get out the guitar. Later I think there's gonna be a tent or something but whatever

Started today by riding west out of Kamloops (Tk'emlúps) and my goodness, what a surprise! I had no idea BC had this sort of scrubland, and the Thompson river valley is just spectacular!

The hills are a combination of rolling curves and craggy features; most of the slopes are covered in yellow grasses and pale green shrubs, with a semi-sparse evergreen forest covering the upper parts.
