The processing requirement alone should be a red flag. Data centres are already over-burdened with the overuse of AI.
If politicians won't be swayed on the civil liberties argument, maybe they might consider who pays for all of this - economically, logistically, and on the climate change front.

I live in Monasterevin, and before we moved eight years ago, the only thing I knew about the town was this news story! (same for most of my contemporaries)
