Trickle chargers work well and it's easier than having a jump pack where you need to fuss around hooking it up to the battery to boost it. Depending how new the car is and how many electronics it has, it might prefer to keep the battery topped up rather than risk it going dead and losing settings.

In the 90's a bunch of my friends were in the video post production industry, they were busier than all get out with so much production happening in Hollywood North.

Ahhh, you're not all that flaky! 😁 I can almost hear the sound of biting through flaky pastry dough into the filling. I am greatly enjoying this season of Baking with Chantzy.

It was a equal prospect of finding Stargate SG-1 or X-files filming locations in the Lower Mainland in those days.

Is that like a flaky pastry dough or a cookie dough? My grandmother used to make raspberry turnovers and apple turnovers that looked like those, I had forgotten about that until just now, so flaky and warm and the filling was hot enough to incinerate your tongue for far longer than one expected.

I used to trip over the X-Files filming locations all the time in those days, and once spent about 45 minutes chatting with a guy at a party about the film/TV industry and mountain biking, only to realize it was Chris Carter when I asked him which show he worked on.😏👽✖️🛸

Now I will be reading oatmeal posts with a whole different point of reference. Maybe just avoid the episode "Home", that would be super creepy even with oatmeal added in.

Either that or they don't take enough notice in the people they know to see that they aren't operating at 100% post covid. Or the people they know just become "those people" who are constantly catching something that is going around.😒

Wait, just re-reading this... is it the local woman that makes oatmeal or the silicon based fungus that makes oatmeal after hosting on their bodies and destroying them from within? 🍄🥣 🤔😁
December 18, 2025 at 3:07 PM
So it is. Firewalker. Well, it wouldn't be the first time an idea from a TV episode was re-used for a movie plot. There weren't any billionaires in the X-Files episode, just researchers - plausible copyright deniability. 😏🍄

Much like civil liabilities of driving, it's cheaper to kill someone with a car than cause life changing injuries, so back up over them for the additional double hit. 😬😦 Viruses ain't no dummies, leave no witnesses.

Screenplay in the offing? That really sounds like a new Netflix movie.

I think you are quickly elevating your position to one of baking worship.😊Those look tasty. The danger of bite size things is that it just feels you can eat many more of them in a sitting 🤩 Oddly enough this comic showed up in my feed today. Seems appropriate.

These victim statements always seem to come from people with a 2.0 GPA and a lack of academic aptitude, or an excess of college/university alcohol consumption.

They are putting a lot of faith in their last vaccine shot, or maybe they are doing testing for attendees, or maybe they are just crossing their fingers and hoping for the best. 😬😷

Google can find anything, this is what it looked like, with the red lid and the enameled hopper with a floral decoration on it, from the 40's.
December 17, 2025 at 2:29 AM
It was like this, but I seem to remember it had a white enamel finish on the square hopper part.

Ohhhhhh, my grandmother used to make these, when they were still warm they were nice and chewy and the chocolate chips were all melty. I used to grind the walnuts for her, she had a little crank style grinder. You are delivering fattening nostalgia in droves. 🍪🤤

They also seem to be having an exploding Norovirus season (so to speak) south of the border, so masks and hand washing with soap not just alcohol is a sensible belts and suspenders approach right now.😷

It occurred to me that you might need a proper theme song for this aspect of your social media life. A theme song that is almost 60 years old but still tasty and catchy... 🤩 www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpWK...
