We lost the great #JimmyCliff this week…the soundtrack to The HarderThey Come, in which he starred and wrote most of the songs, remains one of my all-time favourite albums…it introduced us all to #reggae before #BobMarley…every track a classic…playing now on my #Vinyl Saturday #RIP

what the heck…it’s still November, so time for one more #NeilYoung album on my #Vinyl Saturday to mark his 80th birthday…..Trans, with its electro-pop and weird sci-fi sound, was one of his most controversial records…I kind of like it…but not sure emission-conscious Neil would like its cover today

My belated #Vinyl Saturday celebration of the 80th birthday of the indestructible #NeilYoung continues with the best of all his albums…#Harvest is the only one to reach #1 on the Billboard charts…packed with terrific songs…he was 27…an album I never tire of

Woody Guthrie and Leadbelly knew a thing or two about resistance to the way things were…this is a fine album of heartfelt covers of some of their best songs by the likes of Dylan, Willie Nelson, the Boss, and (yes!) Little Richard…now playing on my #Vinyl Saturday….#NoKings
