Australia-based US expat, #NJDevils fan. I'm trying to talk less politics, more about my interests, which are hockey, motorcycling, music (used to be my living), my cats and dog, and of course, my life with my family in Australia.
I was baffled by this for a second, until I remembered this wasn't his first time with the Rangers.

I think that's an extreme overreaction. I've read that they've asked him to focus on his defensive game in the AHL, and he's done too much in that area.

He'll be fine. Don't panic.

And yes, I trade him for the right piece, but not for nothing, not as a throw in.

The last game was embarrassing for the refs.

I'd give up either one, Lenni or Casey... Lenni is just getting started - WAY too young to write off. Casey has an NHL future SO LONG AS the team he plays for converts him to forward. His skillset is so much better for that.

I wouldn't give up both.

So if they're our 4th line, are we trading for a whole nother 3rd?

Before Jack was hurt, we were missing Brown, Pesce, Glass, Dadonov... I'd really like a run of games where we're healthy to assess our real needs.

I do think Glass, Brown and Cotter are a pretty good 3rd line. Or at least will be, if they stay together.

I'm not blaming the refs at all, tonight. This was 100% on us.

Who do you want, and what will you give up?

If Trotz wants a 1st and Gritsyuk for ROR, do you make that trade? How about a 1st plus Casey and Heemanaho?

Last season he wanted a 1st, Mercer and Nemec, so the packages I mentioned are probably close to what he wants now.

I would be very surprised by that. The chart explicitly says injury - something like that would be easy to filter out.
December 2, 2025 at 3:31 AM
Illnesses were considered injuries on this graph??
December 2, 2025 at 3:21 AM
Well, they haven't as of yet, but it's an extremely small sample size. If this season keeps going the way it has, it'll be 40%, up from 25%. I do think that's enough for a true baseline.
December 2, 2025 at 3:18 AM
He's not a guy you would ever see in the public eye. All our injuries are guys breaking hands blocking shots, stuff like that. Nothing you can do.

Also Jack.

But the compressed schedule... nobody is going to be healthy, this season.
December 2, 2025 at 2:59 AM
I mean, what was he supposed to do, tonight? Other than tell Dillon to not eat an uppercut.
December 2, 2025 at 2:54 AM
Oh, believe me, I'm going to be miserable the rest of the day.
December 2, 2025 at 2:44 AM
He definitely does - he was out cold on the ice. I'm really glad someone took control of the situation and made sure he sat.
