There is never too much overkill for a shotgun alt fire in a shooter!
Though the weird part of the Marathon shotgun is it got a successor in Destiny, it has a little reload flick and all and is meant to resemble the original, but it’s not double barrel and ofc you can’t dual wield.
Weird choice tbh

Nothing quite feels like it that I’ve played (haven’t played Blood unfortunately) but it’s sorta sad Bungie have never remade the shotgun proper and 343’s own double barrel got scrapped.
It feels so good and has such cool animations, I should play Blood if it’s anything like the Marathon one

It leads right to the playlist! It sounds awesome, reminds me of a speedrunning game or something like that. Would feel right flipping two shotguns in your hands
