So not even in a grilling kind of way. Statements like this concern me when they overshadow intersectionality and liberation in specific contexts. I don't disagree these are fundamentally class issues, but co-opting a term used for the descendents of enslaved folks for white workers seems sus.

I'm frankly more concerned with the part scolding Austin chapters for "Black Panther Tactics", having Zionists speak at conventions, and saying that settler colonialism is not among the chief contradictions of the US. I've met a lot of CPUSA members doing good shit. But the top lvl org seems rancid

I think there's some movement happening to see if someone can get the formula that's not Greenstuff World (they're one of the other producers, but it's not quite the same formula and they're a shit company tbh). But it could end up being kinda bleak for modelers and sculptors

Factory that produced the original GS just shut its doors for good. Not many other producers. Most GS was repackaged bulk from this factory

Wargames I keep finding as I talk to friends don't answer interesting questions even about "how do the little guys *feel*?", or even the grim stuff "what does it mean to shoot someone?" And like an RPG might. And having a game structure or aesthetic is a big driver to create minis for me, so 🤷🏻♀️

I've been thinking a lot about this. I love the tactile and crafty side of minis a lot and playing with them, but there aren't many compelling "semi-structured (not fighting) play with our little guys" games.
