I really think they are building up to making all green card holders reapply periodically. And they will start stripping people of the card arbitrarily at the reapplication interaction.

What on earth was the green card holder detained for?

They would read this and still repeat the sentence etched into every rightwing uncle's soul - "this affects criminals only, if you've done nothing wrong, you've got nothing to worry about." It should be tattooed on all their foreheads at this point.

Wow, aside from the (massive) ethical/labor rights issues here, this is also just bad journalism practice AND bad business! I will never ever trust any outlet that publishes unlabeled AI pieces and I know I'm not alone in that.

It's a great insight into the nature of people who gravitate to the tops of organizations these days.

Seeing and hearing the ghosts of our favorite storytellers way more around me these days.

Enjoying this thread very much. Testament to the movie’s greatness that not only do I never get sick of watching it, I never get sick of listening to people talk enthusiastically about it.

Genuinely one of my favorite screenplays.

I don’t think there’s a hypothesis ever presented that I’d like to see tested IRL more.

“The long artsy stretches.”Dear god. Blows my mind what people consider ‘artsy’ these days. And no one complained this much when Gilligan used the exact same ‘watch someone wordlessly do something intricate’ device in Breaking Bad.

Have you ever counted up how many discs you own? I’d probably get Stendhal Syndrome if I took a peek in your archive room.
