My lovely wife grabbed a decent candid photo of me at breakfast this morning in my semi-cosplay (l had my emo Vi jacket on over normal clothing lol)
Me in my black, arcane Vi jacket using my phone

Good news, /tttt/ will give them the gay brainworms so they'll still be queer, just also rancidly gatekeeping and self hating

Like I wasn't expecting anything good, but fuck me if he hasn't lowered the bar further

Why is a family doctor with a special interest in trans medicine trying to interpret patients genetic information as a side project? Also, his later stated reasoning is looking for what amounts to *the trans gene(s)* which can then be "cured" with CRISPR?!

Legitimately, what the everloving fuck?!
roisin.bsky.social
Wow, I read some of that doctor's reddit post and holy what are you talking about batman?! "I've spent the past two years pouring over whole genomic sequences from hundreds of my patients"

It's literally the kind of stuff most junior doctors do as CV padding to get onto the training program they want, because obviously a somewhat extensive publication history is kinda expected for new trainees

He's published a case report on a patient with a bowel condition, and a clinical perspective on fertility care for trans patients. To quote the journal that published his trans related piece "Clinical Perspective submissions are opinion pieces", and this was mainly a review of current care standards

"you can basically buy your way to publications" says the "expert" with a shorter list of publications than the average med student at graduation these days.
roisin.bsky.social
Is he jealous that someone managed to publish a comprehensive standard of care that doesn't exist purely within his mind in a state of flux?

Hearing @wtyppod.bsky.social talk about performing FFS on HSTs on the latest episode has significantly improved my afternoon

Like, many she had supernumerary ribs? Otherwise that's like both sets of floating ribs and a false rib set gone 😬
roisin.bsky.social
This was kinda ok when it was "just watch iron man and captain America before this one" but now it's like nested requirements of "obviously you need to watch falcon & winter soldier before Thunderbolts, but to really get falcon & winter soldier you need to watch all the Captain America stuff and..."
roisin.bsky.social
This is one of my issues with the MCU in general, everything is so interlinked that at times you need to have watched a full library of films and TV shows to get the background of what's happening in the latest film.

Knowing the term tucute and not knowing blahaj is a red flag of a scale and intensity the human mind cannot comprehend

Looks like they may have turned on him more recently, but he clearly still lurks in /tttt/ and r/4tran and feeds off the brain rot
roisin.bsky.social
Oh, apparently the main rule of the sub is/was "don't be cis" so he was baned because of that. Still, lol
roisin.bsky.social
Apparently (although the post goes on to talk about how a mod subsequently banned him lol)

So someone made a post about
me on that subreddit, and went there, and commented about it, and generally, the overwhelming response was positive. I was...

A lot of states do have laws around it, but several don't. It's wild how much it varies.
roisin.bsky.social
Honestly though? You run a fucking medical practice, just add a layer between you and the script by having someone else write it for you. Probably less effort than trying to argue you're unable to get proper specialised care otherwise
roisin.bsky.social
So I assume you just cover yourself with some thing about how you're doing niche medicine that no one else is properly qualified to supervise and you're an expert in and you're golden provided you're not using controlled substances.
roisin.bsky.social
There just no law specifically stopping him doing it in Michigan, just an AMA guidance that you only do it in an emergency or where there is "no other available qualified physician".
