It has be stressful to any leader meeting with Trump. He could literally say anything at any time. Any complete untruth. Any totally inappropriate subject. How would you ever prepare for that?

It’s disgusting. He’s disgusting. But even more concerning is that no matter what horrible things he does or says, he has millions of people worshipping him. 1 crazy horrible human is bad. Millions cheering for him no matter what evil he spews is terrifyingly horrific.

I’m travelling to the US next month for a work conference. As a middle aged, white, English speaking, cis woman I expect I am safe. I do think that I might opt out should my physical characteristics make me stand out rather than blend in. I do wish we could stay in Canada this time. 🤷♀️

Sometimes I read something and think ‘no, he can’t possibly be that stupid’. Then I watch the video of him being exactly as stupid as I read. You’d think at some point I would just accept there are no limits to the stupid shit he will say.

I can’t recall an adult in any position of power continue to criticize a predecessor so frequently for absolutely no future benefit.

How is a social media post an appropriate way for the leader of a country to communicate a desire for a ceasefire? Maybe I’m just too old and stuck in the past, but I would think quiet negotiation would have more impact than a truth social directive.

I actually don’t think it’s so much waking up… their mindset and beliefs haven’t changed. They don’t care at all about the extreme violations of human rights. The assaults on education They just don’t like the one thing he’s doing that has a negative impact on them.

He is absolutely vile. I try really hard not to condemn someone for their viewpoints even if they differ from mine. But he is literally evil in so many ways. How can people continue to worship him?? It’s terrifying. And so disgusting.

This is actually more concerning than the fact that someone as awful as Trump exists. Even if you are a die hard republican, how could anyone think he is the best leader for America after listening to him blatantly lie about allll the things? I can’t understand it.
