Never in my life did I hear about macaroni and cheese at Thanksgiving until around 2010 or so. And then suddenly it popped up everywhere out of nowhere. But I'm sure it was present at the first Thanksgiving in 1621 after Christopher Columbus and his Genoan exiles landed at Palermo Rock...

(3/3) ...where it died out in favor of a Catholic saint's day (which one, I can't recall).
American profiteers haven't been able to monetize Thanksgiving itself. Instead, especially after WW2, merchants and retailers turned the next day into a Christmas shopping frenzy, now known as "Black Friday".

(2/3) This event became part of the American ethos. Thanksgiving died out in England, but gradually became common here until the 20th Century when it was made a national holiday. Having a shared colonial history, Canada celebrates it in October. A similar process happened in New Spain, ...

(1/3) English harvest festivals + religious fervor —> Thanksgiving (though celebrated any time of the year). The religious extremists were pushed out, eventually to America where they nearly all starved/froze to death. Survivors the next year (1621) celebrated a thanksgiving for their survival.

That's funny since Thanksgiving originated in England...

So... when deciding what you want to wear, the question is "One strap or two?"
November 22, 2025 at 3:24 AM
Yes, (and with all due respect to green, a truly wonderful color in its own right) ... MOAR PINQUE!!!

My TOTALLY totally appropriate attire to the office yesterday was a pink thong from JJ Malibu, a white t-shirt, ... and that's all. 😏

So, yesterday you posted "Getting released tonight."
I guess you didn't like it, so went back in? ... I know that feeling.

In their defense, they pronounce almost everything wrong. ...horribly, horribly wrong. ...Like as if they've been living their whole lives in some Northumberland parish not accessible by paved road, have never ever seen the word before, it's not in their dictionary, and the internet doesn't exist.

Scenario F - Year Round Daylight Savings
This is basically switching to Eastern Time Zone or 75°W which passes through Philadelphia. During winter, the workday begins before sunrise. Solar noon is in the later half of the workday, affecting productivity. Late sunsets disrupt sleep patterns.

Scenario E - Current Daylight Saving Time
Sunrise in early March now happens later than the winter solstice and later than the equinox at the summer solstice. In November, evening twilight ends during the summer solstice afternoon, since the change occurs too late in the year, which shocks people.

Scenario D - 6 Months Daylight Savings Time
This is if DST lasts from equinox to equinox. Sunrise is shifted to what it was at the winter solstice, and at summer solstice is back to where it was at the equinox. Solar noon occurs late, which negatively affects our hormonal cycles and overall health.

Scenario C - Standard Time
This is the mean solar time at 90°W longitude, which passes through New Orleans. Since we're a little over 7° longitude west of this, sunrise and sunset occur about a half-hour later than solar time. There is daylight at the start and the end of the workday, all year long.

Scenario B - Mean Solar Time
The length of the day is slightly irregular. This is the result if the day is set to 86,400 seconds each day. Notice there are now slight variations in solar noon and solar midnight, but these are not enough to affect our biological patterns.

Scenario A - Local Solar Time (Sundial Time)
This is how we used to keep time, up until 1883. Every town set their clocks by observing the sun each day. This is what humans have evolved to live by. There is daylight before and after work hours, except in January when the sun sets around 5 PM.

I always kind of thought the point of chastity wasn't so much about denial altogether, but about re-directing sexual energy from a front/external focus to a rear/internal one. ... At least, that's what it is for me.

Y'all're surprised by this? The only surprise here is it took more than a decade to happen.

I'm not sure what the problem might be.

Some things to try: a different size cage; use lubricant or a different lubricant (I prefer silicone-based), clean with a gentle soap and use moisturizer; don't shave your hairs, just trim them; cage-up frequently but for short periods to increase tolerance.
