That Christmas Tree sounds like Component Video (red, green and blue cables + red and yellow for audio), which you probably want to convert to HDMI with an adapter.
Even then your laptop would need to support video input which is not something I've ever tried.

It's perfect? Yeah I think it's the perfect gift. Books right up my alley that I might never have picked up, plus one I've been meaning to read for forever. And a Studio Ghibli journal for the "I've got to start journaling" guy? They really knocked it out of the park. #SecretSantaAoNZ
