I'm not being hyperbolic that Andor (S2 especially) is the best television made in recent history. Perhaps it's the accidentally prophetic storyline (based on actual historic events) The top-tier production, writing and acting make it one of the most effective shows of any kind that I've ever seen.

conservative local news coverage has minimized crowds. I was there there were over 20,000.
They setup overflow grounds at the Capital on the other side of the highway because the park was filled.

So the guy who won election mostly because of the cost of things - thinks that we're going to put up with higher cost for things for his little acts of revenge? Expect some pricing and stock problems with these goods we get from Columbia.

Do you know the problem with "meritocracy?" People. Biases and flawed gauges.
During the course of my career, although my knowledge and skills improved, have been measured from excellent to needs improvement and back - based only on who reviewed.

I saw Aaron Schimberg's film "A Different Man" from the buzz about Sebastian Stan. The film, part black comedy/satirical social commentary part thesis on 'there's no place like home' - teeters barely on the sane side of absurd. I found it inspired, droll, dry and distant.

I'm out of the Metaverse for a week. Leaving my cable box off the news until Wednesday. My head in the sand - maybe. Just coping with the inevitable. I'll chart a course for action soon.

Loves Lica Guadagnino's film 'Queer. Daniel Craig is magnificent as a self-destructive addict mess of an author. His relationship with the emotionally unavailable, beautiful Eugene (Drew Starky) shows the impact of internalized homophobia on them. Desperation, fear, loneliness, self loathing (cont)

The Wicked movie: I knew the material and had thoughts going in. It's one of the better stage to screen adaptations in a long time. A couple of scenes moved me including Defying Gravity which is phenomenal. Cynthia Erivo is a FORCE. But it didn't change my stance on the material #WickedMovie #Wicked

Meanwhile I saw.rhe crtitically acclaimed movie #Anora. It's a romp wrapped in a hard R rating. I recommend it. It's funny, thought provoking, full of surprises and a satisfying film. The performances are amazing. Look it up and find it near you.

The #Wicked massive advertising campaign has me convinced to see it, though I am one of the few who didn't live the stage show.

Thinking about my recent stay in Amsterdam. I don't think I could handle the weather, and although I haven't looked deeply - it felt like a very livable city. I'm sure it has a lot to do with having fallen in love during my visit.
