I have several countries in mind that are much more right wing (malaysia, brunei, pakistan.....and the list is very very long) #japan #asia #rightwing

Singapore is the world’s most religiously diverse country as of 2020.

Curious how other countries compare? We ranked 201 places by religious diversity here: www.pewresearch.org/...

Cultural cores (China, India, Arabia, Europe) spread ideas to neighbors, but geography—mountains, rivers, seas, climate—shapes how each region adapts them. Same roots, different customs. 🌏✨ #CulturalGeography #History #culture #religion

"balik Islam" in philippines or "balik hinduism" in Indonesia (while it exists) is grossly over exaggerated for social media hype and religious propaganda.
hundred of thousands for islam
2 millions for hinduism
All within 50 years

🇲🇦 Maroc : TFR ~2,2
🇹🇳 Tunisie : TFR ~1,6
🇩🇿 Algérie : TFR ~2,7

High education ≠ progressive politics.
Singapore, South Korea and Japan have some of the world’s most educated populations, yet remain socially conservative and right-leaning.
The Guardian’s claim confuses a Western correlation with a universal rule #education

Conservatives have higher tfr than progressives. Interesting enough
Is there a correlation with religion ? I know a lot of people on the right wing side of the political scale being atheist

A nice graph i wanted to share with you. #conservative #religion #tfr #progressist

In Muslim-majority Indonesia (~87%), a quiet Hindu revival continues: Javanese restoring ancient temples, Dayak embracing Hindu Kaharingan roots, and even former imams converting after spiritual visions. A fascinating "return" to pre-Islamic heritage! #Hindu #indonesia #balik #bali

Unpopular opinion : multiculturalism has shaken western world democracy to its core due to tribalism and weak government.

Next decades will be really chaotic

Projected the global religious landscape in 2030 that i tried to extrapolate (based on Pew Research Center models)

Christians: ~2.5–2.6 billion

Muslims: ~2.2 billion

Religiously unaffiliated ("nones"): Likely 2.0+ billion

May i ask @conradhackett.bsky.social and others for opinion on this ?
January 5, 2026 at 1:54 PM
📊 According to demographic estimates:
• ~1.3 billion Muslims in 2000
• ~1.7 billion in 2010
• ~2.0 billion in 2020
🌍 If current demographic trends continue, the global Muslim population is projected to reach ~2.2 billion by 2030.

Japan lost fewer people in 2025 than 2024 despite a slightly higher TFR and fewer deaths.
This does not mean the decline is over -- it suggests the stabilization process toward -80M may already be starting, even while headline losses remain large #japan #japanese

Interesting
The French senate talked about ex muslims in france and issues that might arise due to apostasy.

Let's see where it goes in the next few years. That would be interesting, no hatred or disrespect..just to put the "debate on the table". #france #islam #apostasy

In japan the gap of christian estimation is wild.
It goes from 1.3 million from bunka (2022) to 1.9 million (cia world factbook 2020) to...2.8 million...(Pew research center 2020).
That is an absolute mess of an estimation #japan #christianity #christians #religion
