I’ll only believe their commitment to a consumer-driven economy when they start shifting resources from investment to households. They need to raise the household share of GDP. So far, their policies are nothing more than duct-tape fixes on a cracking dam.

Because all their talk about shifting to a consumer-based economy amounts to nothing. There are no concrete actions or meaningful economic or fiscal policy changes to move the economy in that direction.

makes me feel way better about the result and the performance of Liverpool against them. They are a very good team regardless of the outcome of today's match.

The defense is so leaky and we have one week left to add depth in the attacking department and a new partner for VVD. I mean hey im not one of those delusional fans expecting a new team to be firing on all cylinders right off the gates but still the defense is concerning.

I don’t think the leaky defense is a big issue. It’s fixable. We just need to sign Guehi and, after scoring the second goal, calm things down. Instead of pushing too high up the field and chasing more goals, we should be more controlled and pragmatic when we’re already two or three up.

Splash the cash on Guehi. He is more of a priority than Isak, I understand the lack of depth argumernt but this team has loads of goals in the midfield but not enough compusre and legs in the defense.

I don't think Edwards and Hughes would leave Slot that short in the attacking areas especially in an AFCON year. we need at least one more attacker. Ideally two more.

Guehi and Isak before the window is shut. If Liverpool can't get Isak this window, they need to sign a versatile wing and try again for Isak in January.

Honestly, I thought the statement would be harsher. That line about "we don’t foresee conditions being met" kindda surprised me. it still feels like they’re leaving the door a little open.

They’re not selling him this summer. LFC aren’t dealing with rational owners here. Isak isn’t just an asset to them. They simply don’t care if his value drops with every passing day. They’ll happily cut their nose to spite their face just to prove a point.

I find it strange that so many people are framing the title race as being just between Liverpool and Arsenal. To me, Arsenal aren’t the real threat. Manchester City are. Guardiola and City are the only team I genuinely fear when it comes to Liverpool’s push for the 21st title.

In Levantine Arabic, “اير” and in Iraqi/Gulf Arabic, “عير” both refer to an erect penis. The general slang word for penis in Levantine is “زبر” (zobor). Not sure what it’s called in other dialects.
