While I’m equally appalled at maga/right treatment of this small minority group as many on the left are, Dems got way too easily sidetracked w/ issues that don’t affect the majority of Americans

This was how maga populism convinced so many in the middle to wonder if the grass is greener on right

but when they spend time advocating for the 0.8%, spending legislative time/effort on this legislation while other 99% of Americans can barely get by living paycheck to paycheck, Americans feel many Dems are out of touch

Trans people make up 0.8% of the US population. But democrats in several states passed bills focusing on protections of trans people

Most Americans don’t care which American adults want to live their life that way…

My underlying point was democrats don’t choose their battles wisely
