It's a dry run for next year when the Speaker of the House refuses to seat duly elected Democrats in the mid-term elections.
Should be a HUGE red flag.

There's only one question these days: Who is going to stop him? Physically.
Not: Are they "bound" by ethics rules and the Constitution? "Bound" suggests physical restraints.

I can't argue with this but I still want to punch him.

It's also about showing that the Speaker of the House can refuse to seat legitimately elected representatives.
It's a dry run for 2026 mid-term elections.

It's about oil.

And she really only said he **acts** like he's weak and puny.
Which he does.

Too much truth for sucky baby Trump.

He's a lumberjack and he's OK
He sleeps all night and he works all day

He cuts down trees, he eats his lunch
He goes to the lavatory
On Wednesdays he goes shopping and has buttered scones for tea

If he persists in thinking nationwide tariffs solve every economic problems state-by-state, he's dumber than I thought.

Strong point. Especially depending on the book.

"taken in" is misleading phrasing, suggesting money coming *into* America.
But actually, it's money taken into the US Treasury, transferred from importers and consumers already *inside* America.
So no, actually $0 "taken in".

There should be no pardon power. It's contrary to the balance of power in US governance, when one branch (executive) can override another (judicial).
Or, if for some reason POTUS "MUST" have pardon power, POTUS should only be able to pardon for convictions rendered before they became President.

Me too.

All Congress has to do is stop him. It's within their power. In fact, if they don't stop him, he steals **their** power.
How is it that everyone seems to think raising tariffs is a presidential power?

First they came for the illegal immigrant criminals, and I said nothing. But they couldn't find enough, nowhere near the 3000/day Stephen Miller said was their quota.
Then they came for the grandmas and lawn guys. Because there's lots of them, for now . . .

"It can be tempting to assume that people who question vaccines are ignorant, irrational, or have naively swallowed online misinformation."

It's not "tempting"/"assumption". Don't condescend to us. Ignorance, irrationality, misinformation ARE the reasons why people question vaccines, in a nutshell.

These cosplay warriors go home at night. I wonder about how they reconcile family and community life with their "day job".

I understand the point of the rhetoric "This is not who we are", but it displaces responsibility.
It IS who you (plural) are. It's societal change that's required, not splitting society into "who 'we' are" and "who 'we' aren't".

Be careful: the Orwellian response might be to systematically change place names to English, and rewrite the history of America to erase Spanish presence.
Starting with "Gulf of Mexico".
