I think we need to drop the °F when reporting about climate breakdown & the Paris agreement. Its use case here is meaningless as °C is a scientific marker. (American exceptionalism needs to grow up basically.)

1.5 Billion? Not sure if we have enough resources on the planet to replace them. Or maybe it’s just the rich countries that can have them, while those who contributed the least suffer the worst consequences of climate and environmental breakdown? #NoClimateJusticeOnOccupiedLand

I thought a volcanic eruption would release more CO2? If the graph was representing temperature, I would expect a dip from aerosols released by the volcano. 🤷♂️

Just wondering. I know we have CO2 records from ice cores & stuff but do we have the same for CH4 or others GHGs to work out the forcings from millennia ago?

“Try harder or Try different”. Clearly trying harder under capitalism isn’t working. We can’t tackle climate change under capitalism. Please have Jason Hickel @jasonhickel.bsky.social on to discuss how to “Try Different” under a social democracy. It’s the white elephant this pod doesn’t mention. 🙏🌎🌱
