Good to see this judge getting called out across the pond. Stupid ignorant comment from a fella that should no better been a circuit court judge

Bike's getting in the way of obnoxious SUV/Merc/Volvo he's probably driving

Especially the GAA. I would be happy to ditch X but all counties and clubs only post up to date news and scores on X.

That was a depressing comment at the end by prof caulfield stating bike commuting won't reach 20% in 50yrs. Enough ambition and forward planning for the future and 20% could be reached in half the time.paris is a great example

Can we get the bloody thing built first!!!
January 8, 2026 at 9:48 AM
2026 and our own cities are not even directly connected by rail.
January 4, 2026 at 10:29 AM
Correct Deborah bike commuting is not ideal in the 5 days in the year where Ireland gets thunderstorms, snow and ice.For the other 360 days bike's/cargo bikes are ideal! where I work most don't do 30mile commutes.Again bike's would be ideal for alot of folk.A little change in mindset all it takes!

I'm not a fan of X/musk but I am a fan of GAA. unfortunately all GAA Clubs only post live scores on X so begrudgingly I have to continue use X for the live scores. 1st world problems I know!

That's a pity re' red light cameras. Technology is the way forward to enforce road traffic legalisation

Pity it's not apartment accommodation for people to live
December 29, 2025 at 10:27 AM
Terrible bike infrastructure unfortunately

Ah very good, I have a R&M multicharger, I think I read on the manual It's general lifespan is 30km but I'd have to double check
December 18, 2025 at 6:54 PM
That's some going! Hows the Bosch motor holding up?
December 18, 2025 at 5:50 PM
Looks great. I'm jealous!
December 18, 2025 at 10:55 AM
You could easily add a few Cork bike lanes to that. Bike lane on model farm road up by Mount Mercey School is just downright dangerous

This is fantastic, I regularly go to PUC and have been always frustrated with the lack of bike parking infrastructure. 32 bike stands is a reasonable start.hopefully similar stands can be installed at 4 sides of the stadium. There's ample space all around the stadium

I'd to drive up to the big smoke this afternoon, christ it was painful having to go thru the dunkettle, traffic backed up to no end.
December 5, 2025 at 8:55 PM
Carrot and stick. The carrot is build protected and connected bike infrastructure, bike. The stick is make driving more undesirable. Remove on street parking, enforce road traffic laws, better public transport, more park and ride facilities etc.
More people would cycle then!!

I hear ya!Real political will is required for change.Lack of ambition in real improvements in rail/light rail, buses, cycling infrastructure is demoralizing. This certainly hasn't happened with previous governments.Have i faith in the opposition if they get in government probably not unfortunately.

Decent piece above ex TD Ciaran Cannon discussing AGS newest but pretty lousy hi vis wearing cycling campaign
