Which is also why I think he will fail in dealing with Putin: he likes and respects him too much, wants Putin to treat him as an equal, which means he will never stand up to him the way he needs to.

Capitalism is not inherently bad, though I believe that American capitalism has gone too far in protecting corporations at the expense of workers

2. I believe that this particular narcissistic man wants to be respected by the ultra-rich. He was born into it but failed, chose to be a playboy, and is now grasping for respectability. He will do whatever he can to help the rich, hoping they finally accept him. That, I believe, is his only desire.

Also, the "Ukraine is not part of NATO" defense for letting Putin have what he wants implies that Trump will let him do that to every other Eastern European country that is not yet NATO. "Not NATO, you're on your own," is just a free pass for Russia.

The "Trump is not a politician" line is a poor argument for a guy who is very good at politics.
My problem with Trump is that he'd turn on Palestine tomorrow if it got him what he wants. He has no values, his stances change, and the Rs don't care that they do

And if Putin conquers parts of Poland, same answer? Lithuania, Estonia, etc. He did it, and he has more nukes, so let him have his spoils? When do we try to stop him?

I'd repeat that Trump and the Rs had no concern for the many years of Israeli attacks on Palestinians. Now that it helps them get power, they pretend to care. If you encourage someone's behavior for years, you don't get credit for saying "they're bad" when they go too far.

Trump wants Ukraine to give up land to Putin... isn't that kowtowing, too, especially since he encouraged Putin with his comments about pulling out of NATO and threatening to withhold support from Ukraine?

Yet Trump emboldened Israel while in power, and on the Right saying anything against Israel is blasphemy. Rs had a chance to help Palestinians for decades, and seem to only care now because it scores political points.
