we sailed in there before what they call the 'silver islet race' and got coffees. part of the mythology of the race is that it actually does start with a shotgun blast i think. weird violent history around this place. lots of greed and death underneath the conservation area stuff.

Distracted driving is a major issue. Yesterday an injured cyclist told us the driver who hit them said "I didn't see you", when they were there to be seen. We'd love to see automated enforcement like in Australia that tickets drivers on their phones.

i thought the guy with the broken window had put on the #shutUpElon bumpersticker but maybe not. i thought the bumpersticker was a good thought and that if it had been over the hole he might not have had to repair the window in order to make the AC effective.

it's hilarious that stompin tom would sleep in the jail cell of a town when he was playing there - what i remember from the stompin tom book is that he would ask nice or offer to break a window in order to get the spot to sleep. file under: how to save money as a touring musician
