the korean transliteration for ai is quite interesting. artificial is 인공 and intelligence is 지능. 인공 comes from chinese characters where 인 means human and 공 means to make. 인 is usually a suffix used to describe race and nationality, and 공 is usually a prefix used to describe crafts and engineering.

i started this eng kindy job knowing its a shithole. i applied as a teacher's assistant. during my interview (a friday) i was asked to be the english teacher for 2 weeks (start the monday right after the weekend) but its a global franchise so i thought theyd have a standardized system

my kindergarten went on a picnic and we cleaned the picnic mats in the dumbest way ever. we were told to wipe them with wet wipes. we have a bigass rooftop the size of two tennis courts. not tiled roof, but the kind you can walk on. we couldve just hosed them down and put them up on the roof

recently learned that my definition of kindergarten is not common in the west. in korea, kindergarten is a three year process for 4, 5, 6 year olds.
