The most surprising thing to me after getting into Darktide proper is how incredible it's OST is. Banger after banger after banger. All perfectly fitting the mood and tone of the game. Real great stuff

its less noticable in suicide squad/peacemaker because of the cast and pre-established tone, sure... but it does make the whole DCU feel a little oddly mean spirited so far. i hope to see more straight up heroism and for the last few episodes of peacemaker 2 to be more genuine feeling?

vigilante asofar as peacemaker season 2 has been mainly used for one liners or awkward rants. fluery also has his moments with economos. he can clearly still do humor with people actually getting along that isn't inherently negative (guy gardner letting metamorpho join JG because he liked the name)

i posted about it before but way too much of james gunns humor seems to revolve around A: a character being made fun of, or 'punching down', or B: a character is simply awkward or strange, and disturbs the existing flow of conversation. thats it
