I probably dont like you.
I saw on a youtube gardening vid that stringing lights on ourdoor plants helps prevent em from competely freezing and dying. So im protecting our cedars we just planted this summer. I love these seasonal depression mitigating lights 😁 the tiny cedar up front got a leaf barrier corral to keep warm

This nook in the basement is the mermaid grotto, with shelves and boxes of whosits, whatsits, and thingamabobs. I recently added this tank for the pleco after both turtles started attacking it. Now it lives in peace with its minnow friends, and the occassional voyeur.

She loves watching the minnows play in the bubbles, and sometimes big fish comes out to say hi

Its my 6th year on erie's shore. This post is so accurate. Im in the 6foot range. Last year we needed a front end loader to get out of our driveway and it took 4 days for it to be able even access our street. Im pretty confident this year i covered all my bases. Ready to hunker down for the week.

Field guards are made of breathable mesh (pvc coated polyester thread), and are tied onto their harnesses so they cant easily take em off. They can see and breathe and drink water and even play with their toys, they just cant eat anything. More comforable than muzzles.

Battling s.a.d. with pretty colors. Almost makes the constant 20mph winds for a week bearable.

Moon over my rainbow bridge garden on the day of the dead
November 6, 2025 at 1:42 AM
My town did trick or treating a day late, but still a lot of fun. Many names were added to my rainbow bridge altar. Many dogs, cats, birds, lizards, gunnie pigs and fish were very loved. The day of the dead is for happy memories. Cuz in the afterlife there is no sorrow, only joy. Happy stories 💞

I wish everyday the sun would shine
Take me to another place in my mind
Where everything is beautiful
And no wants or needs
Nor sign of greed
Could rule our soul

I prefer to watch swarming tickleflies than falling snow. Midges dont have mouth parts or spread disease, all they can do is tickle (and fly into your lungs). Theyre only flying adults for about a week while they gather to mate, lay eggs, and die. Theyre great polinators, and feed the birds and fish

Did a trunk or treat today. It was the best therapy seeing how happy the kids were. I dont give candy, i give toys! So they get to dive into the bin full of toys to search for the one they want. I also set up a rainbow bridge altar, nothing creates community like crying over past pets together.
