With all due respect Alan. You have said multiple times about losing experience. One win today doesn’t change the concerns a Rovers fan would have. Rovers are a continious basket case behind the scenes. You know that more than anyone. We will be in the exact same position in 12 months.
One minute people moan about losing players at end of their contracts … next they moan if they get sold before then IF an offer comes in … bottom line … some of you mob just like moaning 😂
We’re a complete joke of a club if we sell Hyam.well, more of a joke than usual perhaps.

Aitor Karanka would be an awful choice. His last 2 jobs in the Championship, win percentage of 30% at Forest, even worse 21% at Birmingham, then went to Granada and did last 6 months, earlier this season he was rejected by league 1 Bristol Rovers.

Still no new manager. I am all for taking your time but it is clear they had no succession plan and even though it has been clear that JE would leave, there was no planning done. This was the ideal week as it was a clear week to get the new manager in and give time to work with the players.

Spoke to three on Friday. Due to speak to three or four this week. Imagine get down to a final two and get serious on main aspects. Maybe end of week. Maybe next.
Makes sense. Obviously they do not have a preferred option like Eustace was a year ago. Would you expect movement on the search this week. Seems to be very quiet regarding potential targets.

Normally have a short list. It’s a group of four working on it. They will know some people but won’t know them all. So good idea to speak to as many as think need to.
@reluctantnicko.bsky.social Alan a bit of a random one. What’s the usual process for a new manager interview. For Rovers, would there be multiple rounds of interviews? What would a typical interview include?

Seen some fans trying to re-write history re Eustace, he did a phenomenal job for us given what he inherited and to get us anywhere near the top 6 with minimal transfer investment on top of losing your 2 best players (Wharton who went before he arrived and Sammy) shows the job he did. 1/2.

The players will have known, nothing is ever secret in football, agents talk to each other and so they will have known, when the manager is not committed then results are going to suffer. Anyway wish him the best for the future, I am disappointed the way it ended but we move on. 3/3.

The way he has left leaves a bitter taste, we don’t know what has happened in the background but we do know the clowns that run the club and their previous history. If he has been applying for every job that came up then it is disappointing and probably explains the drop off in results. 2/3.
