Lol I guess whether or not the actual missing footage added anything was less important than the scandalous headline that they edited the footage at all.

In retrospect it feels like a messy situation no one really won at the time but the ultimate victor got to write the history.

My personal favorite is this one where this one lady was scared of a spider in her house so she pulls out her phone, opens AI, films the spider and says in abject fear "How did I get rid of this spider???"
