Honour your lost person. Grieve. There is absolutely no "time scale" for grief. I once met a woman so full of sorrow for her lost baby (SIDS) she wept. I gently asked "How long?" - it had been many yrs. Okay maybe I managed to move on in 8yrs or so (SIDS baby) but she hadn't. She's human as are you.
