A native of northeast Queensland, the southern Cassowary has a powerful kick with a large, dagger shaped claw upwards of 120mm long. Only the Ostrich and the Emu are larger in size. A flightless bird, it can run fast. A bird to keep well away from. #birds #cassowary #queensland #wildlife
