I already deactivated main thinking that would help but like... only so much. Another alt I have that's supposed to be calm and cozy, people are just doomposting and trauma dumping 24/7 suddenly. Things are bad, yeah, I get it, but that means people need calm spaces more than ever.

Every time I log back in there's some fresh new hell and I'm just kind of tired of being on the internet, generally speaking.

Yeah for sure, it's tough. I've had my own share of spirals since last Nov (the OCD paranoia does NOT help 💀) but the environment you're in and who/what you surround yourself with makes the biggest difference. Obviously things are unstable and uncertain, but people are doing good work out there.

Doomerism is hard to climb out of if you're surrounded by doomerism 24/7 within unhealthy internet bubbles. Helps to be reminded that not only is it an *unhealthy* mindset but it's an *unproductive* mindset that the worst people benefit from -- even if it's understandable to feel so overwhelmed.

Sometimes they're people you have a connection with in a way that seems absurd that you could simply lose touch just by moving to another platform (sometimes by necessary circumstance) but... it happens. I struggle with that a lot. There's a lot of loneliness in that.

What happened to the people who did art trades with me on old DA? What happened to the people I regularly role played with on journal sites? What happened to the girl who sent me letters and a plushie to help ground me when the intrusive SH thoughts got bad?
