I met Rufus at an art fair I was attending hosted by a nursery. His family owned the nursery and he was very comfortable laying in landscape plantings! I’m sure that the one he flopped down in for attention was not the first he had flattened! He was such a friendly fella!

I like it! Watercolor is a different medium from all others. It’s very difficult to control! I often find that accidents in watercolor can turn out to be the best part of the painting! And it likes to be loose. It’s like Venetian glass, you don’t know what you have until it anneal!
