Spotted in the wild! This gorgeous title “Worst Perfect Moment” by the fabulous @shivaun.bsky.social was spotted at Melbourne Southland’s Cook & Young bookshop. Love the neon green signage.

Am enjoying “Why didn’t I tell you a million times?” on Netflix. A friendly ghost romance/crime story that goes to grim places but still lays on the schmaltz. Matsuyama Kenichi enjoys himself as a goofy police detective who inconveniently starts seeing ghosts.

Took a child to an event down the Great Ocean Road to Wye River — raining, foggy, gorgeous scenery. Seeing #kangaroos in the late afternoon is still a thrill.

The location for writing retreats makes a huge difference. @tseenster.bsky.social found a beautiful room at the Burwood campus library at Deakin University for the #AcWriMo retreat. Look at the internal architecture, and large scale art.

Fortunate to join the #AcWriMo writing retreat, jointly run by #DeakinRDA & LaTrobe Uni, from the "Glass Room". Feels like we're in a gallery display! Almost the end of day 2/3.

Fun to co-host with:

Nothing says "Welcome to England" like seeing an iconic Royal Mailbox at Heathrow airport. Okay, so to get to my hotel I had to walk through arrivals, but it still counts.

It was beyond exciting to wake up on Tuesday in Coventry and see snow falling. Here's the view from my 10th story hotel room. Growing up in Melbourne, this was the first time I'd seen snow falling!

At #shutupandwrite symposium: Colleen M discusses self-efficacy and academic writing. High writing self-efficacy would mean a graduate researcher/PhD/PGR has confidence they can write as required for that publication.
Colleen argues for self-efficacy as a proxy for the impact of SUAW. #metrics

Next at the #shutupandwrite symposium: Jason Murphy and Lisa Hodge from the innovative #MelbourneWriteUp format for SUAW remind us of the challenging contexts that researchers can be working within.
