I had assumed she was quite a new ship too until fairly recently, even though I had visited the museum and watched her being raised as a child.
🎶God rest ye merry, gentlemen
Be careful what you hears,
Remember that the Mary Rose
Sailed for thirty-four years
Correct them when you hear it
And help end these awful smears
Don’t you dare say it was her Maiden Voyage,
Mai-ay-den Voyage
Don’t you dare say it was her Maiden Voyage🎶

There was a girl at my school who loved this Outhere Bros song and also Wiggle Wiggle which was on earlier... She died last year. #RIP CK. #totp

I managed to work out the year of this #totp because I associate this Annie Lennox tune with my cat dying. Apart from that it was an excellent year!

I'm on shared parental leave for three months after this weekend 🎉 (Once I've covered Your Party conference)

Very excited & lucky to have the opportunity.

Shared parental leave is a right in the UK for employees but not many people use it, in large part because it's unpaid. If you have Qs, do ask.

@katebevan.com Hiya! We have launched the dataset funding call I mentioned a few weeks back. Researchers would be the lead applicant but we're looking to fund collaborations so people from NGOs and industry can get involved. Details here 👇
📢The availability of rich, diverse and well-curated datasets is vital for advancing scientific and technological innovation.
⭐To support this, we have launched a funding call for Dataset Creation & Challenge collaboration projects.

One of the interesting things I learned from the Girlband Forever doc was that UK interest rates went up twice in one day back in 1992. Also had no idea about All Saints early days as a threesome.

I am considering deleting my account on a certain other social network. I don't use it and it's in privacy mode. I don't want anyone to take it over, but at the same time, I don't want to lose the id in case things change. What have others done?

These days I like to mix it up but back in my student data it was Chicken Bhuna. Now more into my Dosas and South Indian / Sri Lanka dishes.
Interested to find out Bluesky curry orders. What is your regular? Chicken Tikka Vindaloo, saag aloo, keema naan, pilau rice for me generally.

Well, clearly EES roll out is not causing the delays expected because if I search for EES, I get "buc-ees" or something. No idea what that is!

Oooo. Nemone has really set the cat among the pigeons by restricting 6 of the Best to Newcastle-upon-Tyne only. That rules out Sam Fender, Sting, Mark Knopfler, Neil Tennant (North Tyneside), JADE, Nadine Shah (South Tyneside), Bryan Ferry, Sunderland bands, plus Dubstar (Gateshead). The Shadows?
