Sports trader/enthusiast. Other things as well, I'm sure.
I look forward to the BBC's reporting of this

Sorry.......

I had a look - City lose Marmoush and Ait Nouri, so that's a bit of squad weakening, Liverpool lose Salah.

However......

Sunderland are the worst hit squad in the league due to ACN - so Christmas is a great time to play them
November 9, 2025 at 10:19 AM
Agree. Personally, for a penalty I need to see the defender catch the ball and hurl it away....
November 4, 2025 at 6:18 PM
If they apply a rule accross the board that's something like "if you touch the ball (before the player) then it's no foul" I'd be ok with it.
November 2, 2025 at 2:23 PM
Is that the law, then? I have no idea. So if you would have been able to carry on with the ball, it's a foul?

Think "Park the bus" actually came from Mourinio - he said that (I think) Spurs came to Chelsea and "the left the bus in front of the goal"

Not that I like defending Mourinio.....

VAR must have some kind of effect, too.

About the "points v corresponding fixture v last season" metric. Not to put to fine a point on it - but I think it's garbage. It just highlights how you did last season, rather than any indication of current performance. I'd be amazed if Spurs don't massively outperform last season, for instance

Ironically - this *is* a song sung on the terraces (often in Birmingham) with the last line swapped for "Who are those wankers in claret and blue" 😀

Have woken with a horrific hangover, but this headline has really lifted my spirits. My wife's a Brummie - I think I might print this off and frame it.

And you should be grateful, peasent.
October 15, 2025 at 2:45 PM
Have you seen the stadium maps that show how many Cat 4 and 3 tickets there are?
October 15, 2025 at 2:27 PM
He's not "The bookies favourite"

He's 11/1 on betfair (implies ~8% chance)
October 10, 2025 at 6:36 AM
Betfair give us exactly a 50% chance
October 7, 2025 at 10:31 AM
Yeah, was gonna say.....
October 6, 2025 at 9:34 AM
I think the old points versus last season's results in corresponding fixtures table says more about last season than this.....

Be hard for Spurs not to outperform last year.

My only hope is that it does one day get scraped. And when refs make errors, fans/media will be more accepting, as we'll never want to go back to the bad old days of VAR, that proved refereeing is damned difficult.

I'm crazy, I know.

She's starting to question his abilty to keep his word? I'm amazed her business has lasted this long.

I always remember him. I think there was a spell in which after he'd joined United had lost to Bolton, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle and Chelsea, to spell out B-L-A-N-C
September 24, 2025 at 3:45 PM
My wife's an academic - she hasn't got time to be on social media - so when I tell her what's "going on" in academia - she is quite surprised......

Would this not be a policy that would even piss off media figures that have been, up until now, sympathetic to Reform? So many people are friends with/work with/have kids that are friends with those that would be affected by this.
September 22, 2025 at 10:42 AM
Don't understand why, when VAR gets to look at a penalty like that, and it's a clear dive - they don't send it back to the ref to book the diver.
September 20, 2025 at 3:46 PM
Was stopped on double yellows for a minute, there.

I set up the petition to light a fire inside of him. You (and he) should thank me 😉
