There's Martin Brody and Marcus Brody. Both directed by Spielberg, so I have to guess the cheeky suggestion is Marcus is his uncle or something.

It's so difficult to see, but Doc's shirt is trains and cowboys.

That, Tex/Match and setting up Mad Dog in the museum are the three that I know off the top of my head.

I like it how they shoehorn cowboy things into 2 because they know where they're going with 3. It doesn't really have anything to do with cause and effect. It's just there.

Henry appointed his pal Thomas More - I had a prof once call them "drinking buddies" - Lord Chancellor. He was kind of surprised that More took the role very seriously.

When Catherine of Aragon wasn't birthing healthy boys after 20+ years of marriage, Henry petitioned Rome to have marriage annulled

Followed by a short series that "taught" martial arts. 1 was generic, followed by the 4 turtles & their weapons, followed by a 6th generic issue.

They followed it up with a karate issue the next year. Most of the art was done by the Reagan's Raiders guys!

Solson's TMNT comics were some of the first published by another company, and I believe the very first published to feature the turtles drawn by artists outside Mirage.

They started with a "how to draw" comic in 1985 (the only one to feature Eastman & Laird art).

This is true and it's funny that - checks notes - 19 years ago they set up a do-nothing character called Sylux to be a rival to Samus as if it mattered.

BTW it's extra funny that the enemy is a corruption/reference to "stylus," because that's how you played the DS.

I hate what they've done to Yoshi. He peaked in 1990.

Two weeks after this aired came "Mr. Plow" on Simpsons. The Adam West-aissance had begun.

New Yorkers, vote for Zohran Mamdani so he can be in office and say, "Somebody get me the Ghostbusters!"

Last time I watched the world series was 1993 when I was 8. My youngest is 8 and was watching tonight. Blue Jays played a hell of a game.
