I’m a bit confused by the quote. I don’t see the article, so who are they quoting.
Also wondering about the use of the term Zionist in this case. Israel may have played a role, but if the goal isn’t to move Jews to Venezuela, it’s not Zionist. So this is a case of conflating Zionist with Jewish.

I get that many don’t feel like Santa and Christmas trees are Christian traditions. Apart from Santa being based on St. Nick, all customs deemed “non-religious” were co-opted from Pagans in order to convert them.

The fascist right is split into 2 camps: One wants Jews in our own ethno-state (with many believing it will usher in the end times). The other (like Fuentes) doesn’t want to fund any kind of Jewish project, particularly one that doesn’t actually serve US interests. Both want Jews to leave.

It’s a great store and I’m glad I live close. But it makes me furious that we have Soviet-style lines for food due to the province’s restrictive covenants that prevent competition. Grocery prices in QC and ON are much lower, because you have 5 “Gateways” in every neighbourhood.
